Deanna Hobby APRN-C
Nationally Certified Women's Health Practitioner
My Story
I have been a practicing full-time GYN-OB Nurse Practitioner since 1998. After graduation as a Registered Nurse I developed a strong appreciation and love of all things women health and began learning how to assist women in their quest for a diagnosis, knowledge, education, treatment, improving health, coping, and acceptance in all areas of their lives. I was blessed to be able to further my education by attending Emory University GYN-OB Nurse Practitioner study, then became Nationally Certified through NCC. I gravitated towards achieving a holistic and shared decision-making relationship with my patients and have achieved a highly successful career doing what I love.
My patients and I have developed a bond of trust in the honesty and integrity of the care that we achieve together, not only for their body, but for their mind, spirit, heart, and soul.
I strive to provide individualized, comfortable and comprehensive care to each woman that comes through my door. Along with providing basic well woman care, pap smear collection and management of abnormal pap smears via colposcopy, breast cancer screening and detection, diagnosing and management of STI’s, UTI, I specialize in chronic recurrent vaginitis, painful intimacy issues, chronic vulvar issues, painful menstruation, heavy menstrual bleeding and anemia that stems from the same, evaluation of post menopausal bleeding, hormonal optimization and treatment of menopausal symptoms including the treatment of vaginal dryness, chronic anovulation, hypoactive sexual disorder, some forms of urinary incontinence, pessary management for pelvic organ prolapse and thyroid evaluation.
I have enjoyed traveling in our beautiful nation as well as abroad. I have a deep love and respect for this amazing country that we live in and for all of those who have sacrificed and served to keep us free. I love the outdoors and appreciate all of God’s creation in all seasons. I love gentle hikes, putting my feet in the rivers, watching the sunset and the moonrise, the many changes that occur on the mountain vistas during the day with the variation of clear sun and blue skies, the smoke of distant fires, the cloud shadows on the mountains and gorgeous, sometimes fleeting scenes of the sun striking the mountain granite shimmering like gold and silver, cloudy misty days and strong blowing and cleansing winds. I also have enjoyed CSA organic gardening for about 5 years. There is just something so worthy in having ones feet on the ground and hands pulling weeds, then harvesting bountifully. I have been blessed to have been able to participate in many endeavors that give back to the local and global communities and help strengthen communities.
I eagerly look forward to meeting you and your families, to get to know you and care for all of your most special and intimate needs.
